See.......I can do pretty

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all well and enjoying our tiny bit of summer, I'm going camping next weekend, so be warned it WILL rain!

The card I would like to show you I made for a colleague at work, who has now left to start her maternity leave.

Those of you who follow my blog, I must warn you, this card is in no way gruesome, macabre, halloweenish or zombyfied............in fact, it is quite pretty.

Those who dare take a look and let me know what you think :)

The image is stamped and heat embossed and the rest is just layering and lace.   Oh! and a  few flowers and a bit ribbon. lol

Go With The Flow

Hi Everyone,

Go with the Flow is one of my favourite Queens of the Stone Age songs,  So, I was kinda pleased when Smeared and Smudged used the song and the video as inspiration for their Rock N Rolla Challenge.

Here is the card I made, let me know what you think :)

The bat image is from Smeared Ink's A Little Bit Batty digi set.  I reversed to colours on the PC  made it look like a negative and then digi coloured it red.  The flock of bats (top and bottom) are stamped and heat embossed and the ribbon sentiment is the tag from the back of my bathrobe LOL.

Hello!

Hi everyone!

My name is Alex and I'm posting this on behalf of my Mam (or Fiona as you know her) as she is busy with work and wouldn't be able to post it in time.

So here is another one of her amazing cards (I wish I was as creative as her...my lack of creativity is shown in the design of the blog and it's background)

My Mam made this for Stamp Insanity's SISC71~Your FAVORITE SISC!

She chose the Favourite Colour challenge (three guesses what her favourite colour is...)

I think that's it....Oh! except, this post will probably be edited by my Mam once she gets in from work so you won't have to put up with me for long lol.

OK, thanks all!  Nice to meet you. See ya around.

From
Alex

Thanks Alex :) and nope, I'm not going to change a single word, all I'm going to do is say Thank You to all those who left kind and encouraging comments on my previous post and add the usual details.

The image is one of the new Victorian Steampunk releases from Make it Crafty
The backing paper is from the Papermania Capsule Collection, Heather Paper Collection by Tina Higgins.  The flowers and ribbon are from my stash.

Synonymous Sunday

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to day 7 of SmudgFest....... the last day of a week of challenges hosted by Smudgy Antics.  For today's challenge we are to create a project using a little cutie by the name of Calypso. Those generous people at Smeared Ink have given her to us FREE, but don't worry she will be available to buy from Smeared Ink soon

When I saw her an idea started to form in my head (should have left it there :(  ).  I wanted to keep this card mega simple, with just eyes peering from the darkness , but I don't think I have pulled it off tho. If I had the time I would start over.

Sorry folks, it looked much better in my head!

here is my entry using Calypso,  let me know what you think.

The image is from Smeared Ink.  The cats eyes were drawn by my Daughter and then coloured with Sakura's (by me)

Haunted Design House's 100th Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all well.  Thank you all sooo much for all your kind and encouraging comments on my previous post. :)

This week over at Haunted Design House they are holding their 100th challenge, to celebrate this they are offering some Blog candy-corn

There are rubber and clear stamps, a handful of cards created by The Masterful Mistress herself, chipboard shapes and letters, altered chipboard purse & album pages, skullies, ribbons, floss, embellishments, Distress Stickles, rub-ons... Even a cute stuffed jacko (he's my favorite)... and much much MORE!
WOW!!!!

The challenge this week is the "Varying Visages of Vincent" (translates to: the many faces of Vinny),  To create a dark, Gothic. or Halloween based art piece that is inspired by the TRUE Master of the Macabre...... VINCENT PRICE....... A movie, character, poem, narration, song or quote ........ anything that the great Vincent Price has touched can be used for inspiration.

I have decided to do a Scrapbook page for a change, let me know what you think :)

Oh I am sooo lucky, I get to combine two of my favourites ....... Vincent Price and Alice Cooper!  Vincent was a Special Guest Star on Alice Cooper's album "Welcome to My Nightmare" one of my all time favourites!!!

Images of Vincent Price and Alice Cooper are from the Internet.  The background is a photocopy of Alice Cooper's "Welcoome to My Nightmare" album cover.

Sketchy Saturday

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my second posting in one day LOL I Hope you are all enjoying SmudgeFest!

Today is day 6 of SmudgeFest, which, as you know is hosted by Smudgy Antics.  Today's challenge is a sketch challenge (see pic below)

The sketch doesn't have to be followed exactly, just so long as my project shows my idea came from the sketch

Here is my take on the sketch, let me know what you think :)

Sorry the photo is not the best :(  The sentiment reads - "One minute we're spanking each other with meat and the next minute it gets WEIRD!"

Again,  the image is from Smeared Ink's Femdom set (I just love em), the sentiment is from a Las Vegas Stamps Online, but I typed it up and printed it from the PC, cos I wanted to change the font.  The backing papers are from Papermania's Capsule Collection - Mono Paper Pack by Tina Higgins (bought from Hobbeycraft).  The lace and bling are from my stash

Flowing Friday

Hi Everyone.

Hope your are all well.  Thank you to all of you who left kind comments on my previous post :)

Here we are on day 5 of SmudgeFest, a week of challenges hosted by Smudgy Antics.

Today's challenge is Flowing Friday, to create a project using a flowing medium, ie watercolour, liquid ink, liquid glues, thinned out acrylics etc.   I decided to use watercolours.  Now I must warn you,  a painter I am NOT!!!

Here is my entry, let me know what you think :)

I have used an image from the Smitten set by Smeared Ink, she is backed by a watercolour painting from the internet, sorry guys, I'm not that talented, especially when it comes to painting!  I have coloured her with pro markers and the kids little box of paints (I don't have any), then I cut her out and mounted her on foam pads, added some feathers, but unfortunately I didn't have any shells, so I used the blue and white cherry blossoms instead,..............  if you close one eye and squint.................they still don't look like shells! hahaha

Twisted Thursday

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all well and enjoying SmudgeFest!

Here we are on day four already!.  Today's challenge for SmudgeFest at Smudgy Antics , is make and ATC with a twist, you can interpret "twist" any way you want.  Initially I was stumped by this one, mainly because what other people consider twisted I just don't see it, but I do remember a friend of mine saying "they're just twisted!" when I showed her the Femdom set of digi's,  So..............I thought I would go with them.  I have chosen this particular image, mainly because I haven't used her before and though she would fit nicely on an ATC.

Here she is, let me know what you think :)

The image is by Smeared Ink, from the Femdom set.  The backing paper is from Crafty Chaos Designs, this time printed in its original colour

I would like to enter this ATC in the following challenge(s)

Terrifying Tuesday

 Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all well.

Welcome to day 2 of SmudgeFest...... a whole week of challenges hosted my Smudgy Antics.  Today's challenge is to create a project that showcases your favorite scary Smeared Ink Image.  Sounds easy .....right?  but when you love them all it's really hard to choose just one!

Here is my choice, she certainly makes me shudder.  Let me know what you think.

The image and sentiment are from Smeared Ink's Zombie Pin-up set (you probably knew that lol) and the backing papers are from Crafty Chaos Designs.  The gorgeous little skull in the centre of the ribbon was a free gift from Gloria at Creepy Glowbugg .  She also sent me some brains, which I was going to use on this card, but I can't bring myself to part with them yet :)
