Evil Alice

Welcome to a new challenge at Smudgy Antics and this week the Challenge is Evil Alice.

It seams Alice is huge these days!  Alice is everywhere!  She has video games, challenge blogs, tag and ATC swaps and who know what else......all devoted to her and Wonderland!
That girl gets tons of attention!  We expect to see lots of entries this week.  Of course. being Smudgy Antics, we like things that are on the dark or edgy side of the art world.  Smeared Ink has made their own collection of AIW and let me tell you, Alice is all grown-up now!  You can find these jaw-dropping creations in the shop now.  I have provided the link for the entire set, but these can be purchased as singles as well.

We at Smudgy Antics challenge you to make the most mind-blowing AIW piece you can. Make it evil, make it twisted, make it scary or make it seductive.  All of that will work.  Just stay away from the safe and cute stuff.  Save that for the other challenge blogs and tap into your dark side.
We dare you!

And here is mine

I have used the White Rabbit image from the AIW set by Smeared Ink.  I have coloured her using Promarkers. The doily, button and tassel are all from my stash.

I do hope you enjoy the challenge :)

Who Are You Calling Succubus

Hi Everyone,

Are you ready for a new Macabre Monday challenge at Haunted Design House?   This week the challenge is Who Are You Calling Succubus........ You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based art piece that depics a Succubus in one for or another.

So just what is a Succubus?........ In folklore traced back to medieval legend, a succubus is a female demon or supernatural being appearing in dreams, who takes the form of human woman in order to seduce men, usually through sexual intercourse.  The male counterpart in the incubus.  Religious traditions hold that repeated intercourse with a succubus may result in the deterioration of health or even death.  In modern fictional representations, a succubus may or may not appear in dreams and is often depicted as a highly attractive seductress or enchantress; whereas, in the past succubi (plural) were generally depicted as frightening and demonic........ So that is a Succubus.

We are sponsored this week by
Kenny K has generously offered up 2 digis of choice to each of the chosen Gruesome Twosome.

Here is my Succubus

I have used Carmen Electrafying from the Krash Kittenz range by Kenny K Downloads I have coloured her with Promarkers and Sakura Gelly Roll pens.  The background picture is by Anne Stokes.

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Hi Everyone

Welcome to a new challenge at  Smudgy Antics  .  The theme this week is Itsy Bitsy Spider.......this week we want you to turn nursery rhymes into something scary and creepy.  The more twisted, the better!  Make the little hairs on the back of our necks stand on end.  Make a project this is nightmare worthy.  Please source the nursery rhyme you are using or better yet, write out the rhyme in your blog post for those that may not be familiar with nursery rhymes.  Most importantly, have fun!

Please read the rules before entering the challenge.

This is what I came up with

Old King Cole was a merry old soul, and a merry old soul was he;
He called for his pipe in the middle of the night and he called for his fiddlers three.
Every fiddler had a fine fiddle and a very fine fiddle had he;
Oh there's none so rare as can comper With King Cole and his fiddlers three.

I decided to make a bookmark using one of Smeared Ink's new nursery rhyme images. This one is Old King Cole.  The image has been coloured with Pro markers and backed on to a Spellbinders Die Cut, and a tassel added .

I would like to enter this bookmark into the following challenges

Thanks for stopping by, now off you go and join in the challenge :)
