Animal Companions

Welcome to a new challenge at Corrosive Challenges, the theme for this fortnight's challenge is "Animal Companions".  Your creation must include an image that features an animal.

Our sponsor for September is

"Delicious Doodles is a young company with myself, Teri as the Sole Trader/Designer.  I have doodled and sketched all my life.  I started making greeting cards when my last child was born,  and used my doodles on them as I couldn't find what I wanted in the usual craft places.  I only started selling my images in the Autumn of 2009.

I design and hand/mouse-draw all of the images that are sold in the Delicious Doodles Shop. Some are cutsie animals, some are sketched flowers, there are a few men's images, fairies and also some 'darker' images featuring vampires, skulls and Gothic stuff, something for everyone!"

You are sure to find the perfect image for the challenge in the Delicious Doodles Shop

Here is what I came up with

Here is a close up of the image

Isn't she lovely.  This is Katrina, a digi stamp by Delicious Doodles.  The background is one of the papers from a pack called Baby it's cold outside, available at Stitchy Bear Stamps. The swirls and poinsettia are made using Spellbinders Dies.

Oh My Gourd!

Macabre Monday Challenge on a Wednesday LOL and this week the challenge at Haunted Design House is Oh My Gourd!

You are to create a Dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based art piece that utilizes, mimics, infers, or is otherwise obviously gourd or pumpkin inspired.

We have wonderfully creative and timely sponsor this week!!!

These are called Floating Pumpkin Hanger Kits.  Very cool concept and pretty simple to put together.  These look awesome in a grouping and the website has lots of photos and design ideas.  They are available through Spirit, Amazon, and possibly other on-line retailers.  A simple Google search should help you locate them in your area.  They even have a Face Book Page

Pumpkins aren't on sale in my area as yet, so I went with a pumpkin image instead

Here it is

Here is a close up of the image

The image is by Newcomix and is available for free download at DeviantArt.  I think he has an evil innocence about him LOL.
