Quote the Raven, Nevermore and Smeared & Smudged Blog Hop

Good Morning Everyone :)

I hope you are all well :)  Thank you very much for all your kind comments on my previous post :)

Today I have lots of exciting news to share with you :D........today is the day we announce the winner of that Fabulous Candy at Quoth the Raven, Nevermore.  Also,  today we are launching our Very First Challenge !!!  ......... and of course the theme for our first challenge is........... Edgar Allan Poe's  poem 'The Raven'.
The Challenge will run for two weeks, all projects are welcome, just so long as you follow the theme of the challenge.

Also, Today we have the January Members Blog Hop from Smeared and Smudged..... the theme for the blog hop is Mesh It!  If you have arrived from the very talented Black Dragon's blog, then you are on the right track.

Enough of my blah and here is my card for both events :)

This card is made up of several layers......... attached to the base card is the Mesh, which was a bit bright .....so I inked it with my Black Stazon...... but it's still a bit bright!  Next is a digi DP from Crafty Chaos Designs.......wrapped around the DP is a piece of velvet ribbon with a black chain running up the centre.  Next is the image by Wursu from Deviantart.  For embellishments, I have used feathers and a broken broach.... both from my stash.  For the sentiment I have used a stamp by Cherry Pie Stamps heat embossed in black.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge(s)

HDH #115 Macabre Monday - Metal Mania
Unstampabelles - No Stamps Allowed - Anything Goes
Crafty Bloggers Network - Anything But Square
Cup Cake Craft - Something New (Sentiment Stamp is New)
Heart 2 Heart - Use a Stamp You Haven't Used Yet (Sentiment Stamp)
Scrappers Delights - Anything Goes
Smudgy Antics - Recycle Something (Broken Broach)
Stamp and Create - Anything Goes
Stamps R Us - Anything Goes
Truly Madly Crafty - Anything Goes

Phew! that was a long post...... if you have read it right to the end ........give yourself a pat on the back :)
I won't keep you a moment longer....... off you go to the lovely Monique's blog to see what Meshed wonders she has in store for you :)

Don't forget to call in at Quoth the Raven, Nevermore.........we are dying to see your FAB creations, inspired by  Poe's  poem The Raven :)

If you get lost on the hop, please see the blog roll on my sidebar.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop :)

Have fun

Fiona. x

  9. Oooh, I love this one. The image itself seems almost transparent and 3D. Feathers and brooch are a super touch!

  10. I so love all the textures of your card and the image is so terrific. I sadly have to say that this card does not qualify for the Unstampabelles challenge. Our 'no stamps' rule also includes sentiments. Picky I know but when we first started we did allow sentiments but people were using whole page sentiments and losing the gist of our challenges. I hope you understand and that we get to see your amazing work again. Thanks.
