Simple Design

Hello,

Hope you all enjoyed your Easter break. Those of you (like me) who drive to work, hasn't the lack of traffic on the roads over the Easter break been great! I'm not looking forward to sitting in the traffic jams when the schools start back again. Anyway, on to my card, which is quite a simple design this time. I used Voodoo woman from Delicious Doodles for the main image and my colouring still needs lots (and lots) of practice. I'm not entirely happy with this card, but I figured if I show you my mistakes you can tell me how to put them right.

Main image and sentiment from Delicious Doodles
Coloured with pencils and Le Plumes.
Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts
Coloured crystals, pearls and lace all from local haberdashery

See, I told you it was a simple card.

    I saw that you were relatively new to this. I had a look around and like your style. I just started making cards and blogging a year ago and have learned so much in a year. I added myself to your followers. Keep up the great work.

    Oh I love this! I'm so glad you found your way to the Haunted Design House this week, I hope to see lots more of your dark-side crafting in future :D And I think far too many of us are too critical of our own work, we tend to focus on the tiny things that we're not happy with and don't see the overall effect, which in this case is stunning.
    Also, (lol, this is becoming more of an essay than a comment) did you know that you have Word Verification turned on?
