Alter a Box with Smudgy Antics

Welcome back for another fortnight challenge with Smudgy Antics.  For this challenge we want to see more than just paper and glue. We want to see dimension and lots of it.  The Smudgy Antics team wants to see you guys and gals ALTER a BOX!

You may use any type of box.  The box can be big or small, cardboard or wood, even plastic.  The shape can be creative as well.  Do you have any lefover heart shaped boxes from Valentine's Day? If so, you may be a hoarder, but you will have a cool box to work with!

Although the focus of the challenge is to alter a box, you must still use a stamped image (real or digi) and you must follow the rules posted in the sidebar at Smudgy Antics to be in the running for a prize.

My piece is a work in progress....... meaning it's not quite finished and I warn you there are quite a few photo's

First of all this is what I started with

Which I painted with Acrylic paint
and coloured the edges with gold ProMarker

This is the finished front cover
The inside has yet to be completed.

The main image is a Rubber Stamp from Smeared Inks As Death set, also available in digi. The corner stamps have been embossed with little crystal skulls attached. The die cut is by Spellbinders.

Stephen King Knightmare

Hi All, Welcome to a new challenge at Haunted Design House, and that challenge is.......

Stephen King Knightmare

Now, not the sort of guy you would use as a muse to tell your kids their bedtime stories, but for this challenge lets get sick and twisted and use the unhealthy mind of  Stephen King as inspiration.  You can use his books, movies and comic books as your muse.

I decided to go with one of his movies .........Maybe I found this one particularly scary, cos
I HATE clowns!

Not that you can tell from the photo, but this is an easel card, the main image is from the net and the elephants are digi stamps from Smeared Ink's new Circus set.

Glitter and Gore

Before we move on to today's post I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all those who left kind comments and gave me moral support regarding the unkind comment left by an anonymous blogger on my previous post. I could have deleted the comment, but I have left it, as a reminder, to those that need it, of how not to behave :).

Now on to happier news....... we have a new challenge starting today at Smudgy Antics and the theme for the next two weeks is Glitter and Gore. You are to create something.......anything you like, just so long as you use a stamp, rubber or digi. Please check out the rules at Smudgy Antics before you enter.

Here is what I came up with

The base of the card has been glittered using double sided sticky tape and black glitter.  Next I created a frame around the flyer for Gore Couture (an online shop) using the same technique. The main image is called Sex Kitten and she is from the Zombie Pin~up set by Smeared Ink, which I have coloured with promarkers and Le Plumes.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenge(s)

Sparkle N Springle - Use a digital Image
