Skeletal Remains

WooHoo! for the next two weeks the very generous Lily Chilvers of the Octopode Factory will be sponsoring the new challenge at Haunted Design House,

and that new challenge is Skeletal Remains...... create something depicting the image of a skull or skeleton.  You will find loads of skellie inspiration in the Octopode Factory Etsy store, or if you prefer rubber stamps, then take a look~see here

I have used the Skull with Roses and Banner digi stamp from the Octopode Etsy shop I printed the sentiment onto the banner, coloured both images with promarkers and decoupaged them, not that you can tell from the photo. I then added lots of metal skellie embellishments

Smudgy Antics Tic Tac Toe

Time for a new challenge at Smudgy Antics and for the next two weeks the challenge is Tic Tac Toe

All you have to do is choose a line from the grid, it can be vertical, horizontal or diagonal and use the three items from your chosen line on your project, which can be whatever you want, so long as it includes a stamped image (rubber or digi) Please check out the rules at Smudgy Antics before you enter :)

I decided to go with the top horizontal line - flowers, metal, ribbon

This is a digi stamp image from the new Specimen Jar set from Smeared Ink. I have coloured her with Promarkers, cut her out and mounted her onto a die cut by spellbinders.  The BP is a freebie from Bearly Mine Designs. The metal rose and tassel are a gift from my good friend Blackdragon. All other embellishments are from my stash.

Bare Bones

Hi There, Hope you are all enjoying your bank holiday Monday :)  Today is the start of a new 2 week challenge at Haunted Design House and that challenge is..... Bare Bones/CAS (clean & simple), which means you are to create something without any embellishments, that's right none, nada, zilch, nothing! Those that know me will know just how hard this is for me....... I love my embellishments, the more the better LOL
I decided to make and ATC, to cut down on the temptation :)

The image is called Steampunk Mermaid by Hannah Aitchison. The Die is by Spellbinders and the Backing Paper is a freebie and I'm sorry, I can't remember where from :(

Dante, A Divine Comedy

Welcome to the new challenge at Haunted Design House, for the next two weeks the challenge theme is "The Divine Comedy" the story of Dante battling through the different levels of Hell.  Don't panic! you don't have to read it, the pic below gives you a breakdown of the circles of Hell Dante passed through.  

The challenge is to create something inspired by Dante's time in Hell.  You can choose one of the circles of Hell that appeals to you, or feel free to sum up Dante's time as a whole, or just a wild hellish vision of your own.

I have chosen the 3rd circle - Gluttony

The image is by Dahlig, who can be found on Deviantart. Everything else, from the card to the embellishments are from a craft store in Suffolk
