Smudgy Antics Colour Challenge & HDH Macabre Monday Long in the Tooth

Hi All,

Doing double duty again ....... another two challenges in one post -

This week Smudgy Antics are having a COLOUR challenge, use three or more of the colours below in your project.  Remember to eligible for the Top 3 you must use a Smeared Ink image, and to win you must have a stamped/digi image on your project somewhere.

I have used all five colours and this is what I've come up with

The base card is mid green followed by pale green. The lace is purple, as are the large frame, the flowers and the feathers.  The smaller frame is lilac.  The lady in the image has been coloured with La Plumes in lilac and purple.

This week the Haunted Design House Macabre Monday challenge is LONG IN THE TOOTH, you are to create a dark, gothic or halloween based art piece that shows us some chompers, teath, fangs, dentures, etc.  This week the challenge is being sponsored by SMUDGTASTIC.  Andrea is very generously offering her one of a kind sculpture of ..........

This is what I came up with

The frame is by Crafts Too, both dry and heat embossed and red crystals added.  The image is a clip art piece from the net, heat embossed with clear embossing.  The card is edged with black ribbon and red crystals.

One Post Two Challenges!!!

Hi Everyone,

I'm doing a double duty post this week and be warned it's photo heavy LOL

Today we have a new challenge at Smudgy Antics and that challenge is Masquerade...... you can use images wearing masks, the masking technique, or both.  Remember to qualify for the Top 3 you must use a Smeared Ink image, digi or rubber :)

This is what I came up with

I have used the mask a digi stamp from the Femdom set by Smeared Ink.  I outlined it with sequins and added feathers, a  fancy button and a tassell to one side.  Come and play along......go on.....you know you want to :)

As it's Monday there must be a Macabre Monday challenge at Haunted  Design House, and this week the challenge is Hot as Hell.  You can use flames or something that requires heat, burning, scorching, wet embossing.

I opted to use Flames and Wet Embossing

I have used a Victoria Frances Image.  The backing paper is from the net. The cat/bat image is a rubber stamp wet/heat embossed. The skull and flames image is also from the net coloured with Pro Markers and Le Plumes,  printed several times and decoupaged. 

Now you're spoilt for choice........two challenges to enter!......I know......you just can't wait! LOL

Flowers and Bling and Doilies.......Oh My!

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are enjoying your Sunday.

Today we have a new challenge at Corrosive Challenges and that challenge is Flowers and Bling and Doilies......Oh My.  To qualify for the prize..... two digi stamps from our sponsor Tickled Pink Stamps and a chance to be our guest designer for July, you are to create something using two of the three items mentioned.

I decided to use all three :).

The image is Fairy Kira by Tickled Pink Stamps surrounded by lots of bling and layered onto a white doily, which I ran my stazon ink pad over to highlight the detail.  The flowers, bling, ribbon and lace are all from my stash.

Goth Make Over

Hi Everyone,

I have some exciting news...... Croms, from Cromscubbyhole and I have been chosen to join the DT at Haunted Design House..........Yay!!!

This week their challenge is being sponsored by Saturated Canary, who is generously offering 2 digis of your choice from her Etsy store, to the winner.

The theme for this weeks challenge is Gothic Make Over.......you are to create a DARK, GOTHIC or HALLOWEEN-based art piece that includes a cute or non-scary image that has been made over in a GOTHIC manner.

I have chosen to use Honey by Saturated Canary, this is how she looked before I gave her a make over.

I have used quite a few digi images on this card...... the main image is of course Honey from Saturated Canary.  The cross on the left is from the Glam Vamps Accessories set by Smeared Ink  I used it inverted.  The little bat on the top right is by Smudgetastic Digis.  The skeletal baby on the cross at the bottom right is an image of a pendant by Alchemy Gothic.  The sentiment are lyrics from Evanescence's song Whisper.  The lace, ribbons, flowers and pearls are from my stash.

New Week New Challenge

Thats right, it's Monday, so that means a new challenge at Smudgy Antics....... and this week it's ANYTHING GOES....... how easy is that!

You can create anything you want, but remember you must use a stamped image to be eligible to win and to qualify as one of the top 3 you must use a Smeared Ink image.  I decided to use one of the new releases from Smeared Ink and this is what I came up with :)

 This is a close up of the image

The image is Cross Milagros from the Milagros set by Smeared Ink, I embossed the heart, flowers and jewel on the cross.  The main body of the cross is coloured with gold Pro Marker.  The embossed corners are digi stamps from the Glam Vamps Accessories set also by Smeared Ink, also heat embossed and added black pearls and crystals, you can't see the smaller ones in the pricture.  The image frame and flourishes are by Marianne Designs and the flower is by Prima.  The ribbons are from my stash.

The Pit and the Pendulum

Firstly......Congratulations to our winner Nancy and top 3 Croms, Jacki and Colleen,  of our last challenge "To Helen" Beautiful projects ladies.......thank you for joining us at Quoth the Raven Nevermore :)

Today we have a new challenge at Quoth the Raven, Nevermore, which will run until 16th May and that challenge is The Pit and The Penulum...... a tale of the dreaded Inquisition, a tale you can read in it's entirety Here.  You are to create a project using The Pit and The Pendulum as your inspiration,
