The Man, The Myth, The Legend

Hi Everyone,

As it's Sunday that means a new challenge at Corrosive Challenges, and this week the challenge is The Man, The Myth, The Legend.......Tim Holtz.  You are to use at least one Tim Holtz product on your project.

This is what I came up with

The image is by Natalie Shau, you can find her work on DevianArt, I just love this image.  I have mat and layered her onto red and black cardstock and used flourish dies and a sentiment plaque by Tim Holtz.  The skull in the left corner is a digi stamp by Smeared Ink, decoupaged and covered in glossy accent, then mounted onto a cameo surround.  The skull in the right corner is from a necklace I bought somewhere in a sale.  The flowers, ribbon and lace are all from my stash

Smudgy Antics - Rain Down On Me

It's Monday, so that means another challenge over at Smudgy Antics, but before we get into this weeks challenge, I would like to Congratulate the winner of last weeks challenge - Bingo...........
 and the Winner is...........

PiHi

and the Top Three (in no particular order).............

Lisa B
Crafty Teacher
Beth Pollock

Congratulations to you all :)

The Challenge this week is Rain Down on Me..... you are to use water in your project.

Remember to win, you must be or become a follower of Smudgy Antics.  To be chosen as one of the Top 3, you must use a Smeared Ink Stamp

I decided to go with water colouring....... bit of a stretch for me.........but I was determined to give it a go. So I bought watercolour pencils (they are so lovely I didn't want to use them LOL),  and a water-colour sketch pad.

Here is the end result

I water coloured the water and image of this Smeared Ink digi stamp from the Smitten set. I then cut her and the water out and backed them onto sky printed card, which was then backed onto a water image from the net.  The feathers are from my stash and the shells I bought recently from Hobbycraft.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge(s)

Thanks for stopping by, please call again :)

Now off you go to Smudgy Antics to join in the fun.

Grimm's Grimmest

THE ROSE

There was once a poor woman who had two children.  The youngest had to go every day into the forest to fetch wood.  Once when she had gone a long way to seek it, a little child, who was quite strong, came and helped her industriously to pick up the wood and carry it home, and then before a moment had passed the strange child disappeared.  The child told her mother this, but at first she would not believe it.  At length she brought a rose home, and told her mother that the beautiful child had given her this rose and had told her that when it was in full bloom, he would return.  The mother put the rose in water.  One morning her child could not get out of bed.  The mother went to the bed and found her dead, but she lay looking very happy.  On the same morning, the rose was in full bloom.
Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm

The Macabre Monday challenge at HDH this past week has been Grimm's Grimmest.  I think the story above is pretty grim, but it did inspire me to make the card I have to show you today.

Both images are by Victoria Frances, I added glossy accents to the blood. The cameo image of the Grimm bothers, I borrowed from the net.  Everything else is from my stash.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge(s)
